Fixed frame unit & sliding wagon
Ideal for commerical shipping inudstry
Compact mixed, kitchen and hazardous waste
Pneumatic, low power, offshore waste compaction
The Mil-tek XP300 Mixed Waste Compactor for Shipping is a small footprint waste compactor designed specially for the shipping industry. It features a fixed frame unit and sliding wagon that allows the XP300 to be securely set in place, making it ideal for commercial ships and uneven/moving surfaces.
Boasting a footprint of just 78cm2, the XP300 can easily be installed in tight, confined spaces where space is limited. the wagon is fixed in place to a sliding frame, allowing it to be easily and safely filled and emptied even if the vessel is moving.
On top of the safety and usability features that makes the XP300 so popular in the shipping industry, it is a pneumatic machine, meaning that it runs on a very modest amount of power. Mil-tek's patented ECODrive technology evenly distributes power usage so only the required amount is used in each cycle.
The frame itself can be bolted down, but comes mounted on wheels for easy transport. The wheels can also be locked in place meaning that the machine can be safely and easily moved as required.
For the shipping industry, waste compaction and waste minimization is vital. By simplifying the offshore waste management process, commercial ships maximise the available space and ensure they comply with strict legislation.
In addition to the XP300 waste compactor, Mil-tek also supplies X-Press Wire Ties and an X-Press Bag Strapper making it easy to seal bags, and ensure they remain shut.
Espresso Exchange is a popular café in the heart of Liverpool. They opted for a Mil-tek compactor to reduce the volume and the cost of their daily waste stream.
Burger King is a global chain of fast food restaurants. This branch in Belfast uses two Mil-tek machines to handle their waste.
IHOP is a US restaurant chain specialising in breakfast foods. They partnered with Mil-tek to reduce their trash volume and pick-ups and recycle their cardboard.
The Mil-tek XP300 is mounted on wheels, allowing it to be easily transported and fixed into place. To power the machine, simply connect it to a compressed air supply.
When the pressing plate is up, the wagon can be slid out. Once full, simply slide the wagon back in, and close the lid again to activate the pressing cycle.
The frame is rectangular, allowing the waste wagon to slide under the pressing plate and out again, without risk of rolling beyond that. The frame itself is wheel-mounted, allowing it to easily be transported or locked in place.
Mil-tek Compactors are powered exclusively by compressed air. In addition, ECO Drive technology evenly distributes power usage, meaning you only use as much power as you need to compress each cycle. The low power usage also means that the machines are extremely quite in operation.
It is recommended that you service your machine on an annual basis. Shipping & Offshore operate under different cycles to regular workplaces, so be sure and talk to a Mil-tek consultant about how we advise you care for your machine.
Mil-tek also supplies spare parts kits, which are available for all offshore models.
In a word: compaction! With strict legislation surrounding offshore waste management, it's imperative that offshore ships and platforms have a proper waste management solutions in place. For more information on how Mil-tek can assist in this, click the Legislation link at the top of this page.
Commercial ships traverse the waters of the world all year round, facing some choppy water during that time. An XP300 Offshore Waste Compactor is ideal for such environments, as it can be easily and safely held in place.
The sliding wagon allows for safe loading and emptying whilst the small footprint means it can be installed in confined spaces.
Cruise ships typically travel at a more relaxed pace than commercial ships, but face ever moving surfaces nonetheless. traverse the waters of the world all year round, facing some choppy water during that time.
An XP300 Offshore Waste Compactor assists in the offshore waste compaction process by allowing for easy disposal and easy minimization of onboard waste.
Ships and offshore rigs are environments where hygiene and space are rigorously controlled. The Mil-tek XP300 Offshore Waste Compactor will compact all forms of general waste by up to 90% minimizing the space wasted on waste.
The XP300 Compactor can be fastened to the floor making them ideal for uneven ground and offshore environments.
